Knitting/Crochet

New Addictions

I completely lied in my last entry. I’m not on hiatus anymore. Ha! I blame Ravelry.

Yesterday morning I woke up early and had some time on my hands. I’ve been a member of Ravelry since June, but not had much time to spend looking around and uploading stuff. Well, yesterday morning I decided it was time to dive in. I completely addicted! I had to tear myself away to actually spend some time knitting.

As a result of my new found addiction I’m going to try and make more time to knit and be involved in the knitting community. I love it so and Ravelry will make it a little less lonely (since I don’t have many people to Sn’B with around here). If you’re a knitter and not yet on the waiting list I advise that you submit your name ASAP! You will love it too, I assure you.

With all that said, I spent about an hour yesterday knitting. I’m working on a little swing jacket for a baby. Fingers crossed that I have a girl because it’s so adorable, but if I don’t I’m counting on one of my two friend’s that are currently trying to get pregnant to have a girl. I’ll post pics of the work in progress tonight or tomorrow.

I also won an eBay auction recently for 15 skeins of Colinette 5 Point. I know, I’m not supposed to buy any new yarn until after September, but I’ve been so good and 15 skeins for $150 was too good a bargain to pass up. I also have some ideas for what to do with the yarn which makes me feel better about the splurge.

So there you go. I little update with more to come. And I promise I won’t only be knitting baby stuff!

NP: the humming of the air conditioning in my office. Guess I better dig out my iPod.
